What is Walking Tennis?

Walking Tennis has been designed to be accessible for all. It’s still tennis – but with a few tweaks: you can’t run or jump; you use slightly different balls, and you can let the ball bounce twice for extra time. It can be purely social, or nicely competitive – but everyone can play!

Learn more about the game here: A guide to Walking Tennis – including the rules and tips for playing.

Who can play?

Walking Tennis is for anyone that wants to play tennis, but at their own pace. It’s ideal for those who:

  • Used to play tennis
  • Have never played tennis before
  • Are looking to get more active
  • Are recovering from an injury

You can play tennis at any age, and Walking Tennis offers an easy way for older people to keep their body and mind active – while also enjoying the social side of being part of a tennis community. Many players even find their fitness and skills improve so much they move into playing full tennis.

Come and try a new sport in a friendly, supportive environment.
